Accomplished!!!!

The girl slept almost 5 hours last night (can I get a wOOt wOOt)

I got the floor swept and mopped AND I vacuumed today.

This is more than I have done around the house in 7 weeks.

GO ME!!!!

silence in the house

ah, the sounds of my SIL's house at 2;45am on a Saturday. In a few hours everyone will be awake rushing to get ready to go out for dim sum.

I'll miss these moments someday.

These words have been in my head alot the last few days. Perhaps God is telling me something?

I let them go and into your hands Lord. If we are meant to be friends again, it will go both ways, not be expected that i solely take action. Friends forgive and work on things together.

Drama at 4 in the morning

I had woken Derek up during a 4am feeding. I think to have him help me do some burping? Or maybe the girl woke him up. I can't remember at this point being that i myself was half asleep. At any rate, Derek commented that he had not seen Rooney all night. He got up and started looking for him after calling him did not seem to produce a fat orange blob on our bed wanting attention.

Several minutes later he returns saying he cannot find him anywhere. Mind you our house is not huge, so it's not hard to find a 15lb cat when he goes missing. There simply are not enough wide places for him to sneak into around here.

Then the thought hit us that he may have gotten out when Derek took the trash out. So Derek walked around the front of the apt bldg. No Rooney. Came back in, checked the house...no Rooney.

I suggested he drive around to find him and to possibly check back behind our apts on the patio.

About 20 minutes later (or so) he returns to the apt with a fat orange kitty in his arms. It seems Rooney DID escape and Derek found him under the grill of our neighbors 2 doors down.

Talk about scaring his mom and dad just a bit. Welcome back home Rooney Roo-ski. Don't ever do that again.

Alive and kicking

I'm still alive, getting a few hours of sleep a night and constantly holding my gorgeous daughter 9who has taken to not wanting to sleep anywhere but my arms).

Loving motherhood, hating my car. It broke down today and AGAIN with the damn sensors. I hate sensors. I hate that my car is primarily electrical. I hate when cars breakdown. Stupid stupid car.

The car debacle interrupted a shopping trip which was going to be lots of fun for the girl and I. Oh well. Maybe Friday or next week.

I got my haircut today. It was SUPER long as I had not had it cut since April/May. We're talking long to my shoulders and she cut a good 2-3 inches off of it today and layered it. It's REALLY cute too. I love it.

i also got Derek's Christmas presents wrapped this afternoon and our tree looks very full. hopefully this will deter Pele from sitting under the tree and batting at my ornaments.

Damn cat.
